Nalarroepa Artspace & Studio was founded by Dedy Sufriadi in 2009. Established as a personal studio for painter Dedy Sufriadi, the studio has evolved into an art space after the renovation of his studio and new construction of a building adjacent to the original facility in 2014. Nalarroepa Art Space was initatiated by Nalarroepa Studio with the aim to become involved in the development of art infrastructure in Indonesia by accommodating art activities ranging from production, publicity and promotion to documentation.
In the first year (2014), Nalarroepa Art Space organized several exhibitions including both solo and group shows. This year (2015) the focus is on single-artist exhibition featuring various disciplines including installation, sculpture and photography as well as many other mediums. Apart from art production and exhibitions, Nalarroepa has also become a space for discussions and gatherings of young artists.
