Syllabus Studio is active as a space for M Lugas Syllabus’ art practice. It is located in Kasongan, Bantul, a key attraction in this region as the center of pottery art in Yogyakarta. Syllabus Studio is also close to the Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI), Yogyakarta. Originally, the studio was located in Suryodiningratan. However, as Lugas’ art practice developed he decided to build a new studio named Syllabus Studio, which has been active since 2012.Besides being a work place for the artist, the studio has also become a meeting area to discuss and present the works of other artists.

Ding Yu – Chung (b. 1982, Taipei, Taiwan) graduated from the Institute of Plastic Arts at Tainan National University of the Arts in 2011. He has attended many exhibitions in Taiwan and other countries in Asia such as Thailand, the Philippines and Indonesia. Ding Yu-Chung’s latest solo exhibition was Leaves No Trace Upon The Water, Art 8, Hsin-Chu City, Taiwan. He lives and works in Taipei, Taiwan.
M Lugas Syllabus (b.1987, Bengkulu, Sumatera, Indonesia) received his undergraduate degree in painting at Institut Seni Indonesia, Yogyakarta. He has exhibited in Asia and Europe and has participated in a number of residency programs, providing him with opportunities as a young artist in the international scene. He lives and works in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
