Yogyakarta Open Studio (YOS) is an annual art event showcasing contemporary studio practice. Each year, Yogyakarta-based artists are invited to open their studios to the public while examining a specific theme. YOS provides the general public and arts community with exposure to a wide array of artists working in a variety of fields at various stages in their career. Visitors explore how artists use their spaces to create artwork, build community, define their role in art discourses and negotiate with the outside world.
