Syllabus Studio is a workspace for M Lugas Syllabus' art practice. It is located in Kasongan village in southern Yogyakarta, a key attraction in the region as the center of pottery art, and is also close to Institut Seni Indonesia. Besides being a work place for the artist, the studio has also become a meeting area to discuss and present the works of other artists. Originally located in Suryodiningratan, the existing studio was built at its current location in response to developments in his career and studio practice, taking the name Syllabus Studio in 2012.

M Lugas Syllabus (1987, Bengkulu, Indonesia) received his undergraduate degree in painting at Institut Seni Indonesia, Yogyakarta. He is a member of the younger generation of artists currently active in Indonesia's contemporary art scene.  Syllabus' works integrates refreshing elements from both traditional and modern sources, such as folklore, literature and comic tales. He has exhibited in Asia and Europe and has participated in a number of residency programs, providing him with opportunities as a young artist in the international scene. His recent solo and group exhibitions include Garden of Triumph, Element Art Space, Art Stage Singapore, 2016; The Ocean of Tomorrow Sorrow, Pop Gallery, Brisbane, 2015; and Drawn to Experience v2, QCA Gallery, Brisbane, 2015. Syllabus lives and works in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
